Social Studies
To provide background and foundation for the humanities program at Cohasset High School, the grade 6-11 curriculum consists of: World Geography in grade 6; World History in grades 7, 8, and 9; AP European History, Law or Economics in grade 10; and two semesters of United States History in grade 11 in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. In addition, various elective courses are offered in grades 10 through grade 12.
The goal of the social studies program is to graduate lifelong learners who have the knowledge, 21st century skills, and attitudes to participate as effective members of their local, national, and global communities.
