Applicants to AFA’s Teen Alzheimer’s Awareness Scholarship are asked to describe ways in which Alzheimer’s has impacted them. Many stories include years of visiting grandparents at memory care facilities, volunteering at nursing homes, or caring for a loved one at home. The Safe Harbor Cohasset, Inc. Christine Murphy Scholarship is a unique opportunity for current Safe Harbor Youth Ambassadors to apply for a college scholarship. Gosnold, Inc., the Cape's largest provider of addiction and mental health services, is offering $2,500 scholarships to two graduating seniors who have been accepted and are entering college in the Fall of 2026.  The student must plan to major in psychology, social work, or another field of study that is relevant to addiction and/or mental health. A maximum of twenty, one thousand dollar ($1,000), scholarships shall be awarded annually by the Charitable and Educational Trust of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. The Annual AFL-CIO Scholarship and Labor Education Program is in its 68th year. Through the program, the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and affiliated unions are proud to award financial resources to high school students pursuing trade union programs or college/university study. ­The Massachusetts AFL-CIO administers half a million dollars of scholarship awards on behalf of unions and labor councils throughout the state. Individual awards range from $500 to $16,000. 

To qualify, students must be a senior in high school, fill out the online application and then take our exam. The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) invites all high school students (9th through 12th grades) interested in the American Revolution to participate in the George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest. The contest is open to all US Citizen and Legal Resident students attending home schools, public, parochial, or private high schools in that same grade range.

The New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC) announces its Annual Essay Contest for high school juniors and seniors. NEACAC is an educational association of more than 3,500 secondary school counselors, college and university admission and financial aid counselors, and individuals who work with students in the transition from high school to post-secondary education.

High school juniors and seniors from NEACAC-member high schools in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont are invited to participate in an essay contest.  Please check back for the 2026 essay information.

The New England Statistical Society Scholarships for Underrepresented Minorities advances the representation of underrepresented groups in statistics and data science by supporting graduating high school seniors and first/second-year undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in a data science-related field (e.g., statistics, quantitative fields in social science, math, engineering, and computer science). NextGen Scholarship

Pilgrim Festival Chorus is pleased to offer two scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to two graduating seniors who will be pursuing music studies at the college level, including music education, performance, composition, musical theater and music therapy.  This scholarship is being offered to graduating seniors in the South Shore communities of Carver, Cohasset, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Marshfield, Middleboro, Norwell, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, Scituate and Whitman.  

The winners of the PFC scholarship will be announced at the PFC spring concerts and at the schools’ award ceremony.  The award will be disbursed following documentation of successful completion of the first semester in the student’s freshman year.

This is the 51st consecutive year that Pilgrim Skating Arena is awarding scholarships to high school seniors planning to further their education. Pilgrim has granted 579 merit-based scholarships totaling $2,262,500.00. You do not need to be a hockey player or figure skater to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is awarded based on merit, not financial need. Interested seniors must sign for their application in person when picking up at Pilgrim’s pro shop. Established in 2019 to honor Progress co-founder Mary Székely (pronounced: “See-kay”), the Progress Software Mary Székely Scholarship for Women in STEM is a $10,000 four-year renewable scholarship for a Massachusetts woman, including those identifying as a woman, who plan to major in computer science, software engineering, IT and/or computer information systems.  Applications will open in March 2026.
