School Council
The School Council for Cohasset Middle School typically meets on the last Tuesday of each month within the school year, October through May, at 2:30 p.m. in the Cohasset Middle School Main Office. Meetings usually last approximately one hour and the meetings are open to all members of the community.
Membership on the School Council consists of the school Principal, faculty members (elected to two year terms by the faculty), parents (elected to two year terms by parents), two students (elected annually by students), and a community representative, appointed at the discretion of the school principal).
The School Council's focus each year includes:
- Discussing and making recommendations to the Cohasset School Committee regarding budgetary matters associated with the school
- Discussing and making recommendations to the Cohasset School Committee regarding changes to the Student/Parent Handbook
- Discussing and developing a School Improvement Plan
