Referral Process

The Tiered Support System is designed to begin at the level closest to the student's performance, with the teacher and in the classroom. Early communication between home and school is the first step in identifying strategies that will allow students to access knowledge. Referrals to the Tiered Support Team are then made by administrators, guidance counselors, or teachers if Tier I intervention strategies have not succeeded.
